IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE BOOKING B&T

How the Program Works

The first few days focus on helping your dog settle in and build a relationship with me before formal training begins. Training then progresses throughout the stay, with more at-home training during the first week and more outings and field trips during the second week, depending on your dog’s goals and progress.

Daily Schedule & Safety

Our training day runs from 6:30 AM to 10:30 PM. Each dog receives 2–3 training sessions daily, structured walks, individual playtime, downtime, and group play when appropriate and safe. For safety, all dogs are crated when not actively training or supervised by a kennel tech for potty breaks, walks, or playtime. Dogs are also fed separately in their crates.

Where Your Dog Stays

Your dog stays in a custom-built, fully insulated shed designed like a mini house specifically for my training and boarding dogs. It includes heating, air conditioning, cameras, and an alarm system and is located approximately 200 feet from my home. For privacy and safety, all drop-offs and graduations take place at a public meeting location, typically Labrie Field or the Southampton Public Library. Photos and videos of the facility are available on our website and Instagram.

Training Tools

All programs except Puppy Camp include a Mini Educator e-collar, which is conditioned as a communication tool and sent home with your dog so you can continue practicing. If you already own the same e-collar model, let me know before booking to discuss a discount.

Daily Updates

Follow @wildmaedogtraining for daily photos and videos on Instagram Stories. Every Board & Train dog also receives an individual Highlight Reel on our Instagram profile documenting their training journey.

Graduation & Go-Home Preparation

Graduation takes place on the final day and includes an approximately one-hour hands-on lesson covering your dog’s training and how to maintain their skills at home. Two days before graduation, you’ll receive a digital Graduate Handbook and a required one-hour video to review before your session. These cover important information, including e-collar use when applicable, so we can focus on your dog’s progress and your hands-on practice during graduation.

Lifetime Support

Every program includes unlimited lifetime support. If you need a refresher for any reason after your dog comes home, you can book a follow-up lesson at no additional charge.

What to Pack

Please bring approximately two weeks’ (or 3 for off leash program) worth of your dog’s food, along with their leash and collar. You may also bring a toy or a shirt that smells like home. Bowls, beds, and crates are provided, so there’s no need to pack bulky bedding.

How to Book & Payment

To book your dog’s session, create an account through our ProPet Client Portal, click “Book Now,” select your preferred session dates, and submit a Board & Train request. I’ll review and approve your request if the dates are available. Once approved, the first 50% deposit will automatically be charged to the card on file, securing your training dates.

As your dog’s stay approaches, we’ll coordinate the drop-off location and time. The remaining 50% balance is due on the final day of training and can be paid directly through the client portal.
